SOUTHFIELD. Mich. (WJBK) - A thief turned into caught on digital camera stealing a donation jar that changed into supposed to go towards breast melanoma analysis.
It took place at Nikola's restaurant in Southfield. The thief may also be considered standing within the entry way on camera. As two guys walk in and wait to be seated, he hovers around and moves off digital camera.
After both men are taken to their seat, the man walks as much as the counter, looks round and then grabs the jar and walks away.
"I consider bad for him," referred to Brooke Lussenden, a Nikola's worker. "For a person to need to take money that i am elevating for a trigger, for individuals."
As a supervisor on the metro Detroit restaurant, Brooke Lussenden says has placed a jar at the counter to take donations to help her elevate cash so she will take part in a native experience to fight breast melanoma.
"It noted on there 'The three Day walk, Susan G Komen,'" she m entioned.
but Brooke says when she arrived to work, that jar and the money internal had been gone.
"I got here in Thursday morning and i walked up here and i turned into like the place's my jar," she observed.
that's when Brooke says she went to take a look at the restaurant's surveillance video
"As quickly as we noticed the video I noticed the gentleman that did it," she talked about. "before I noticed him take it, I knew it became him because he had been up there acting very suspicious, pacing from side to side looking at doors to peer if any individual became awaiting his chance to take it."
Brooke says she had approached the person prior who she idea changed into a client.
"I walked up and have you ever been helped and he was like sure, and the he changed into simply pacing back and forth," she pointed out.
Brooke says she hopes justice is served and he or she's asking that you should pay close attention to this video and if you respect man to contact police.
"i'm simply going to proceed elevating cash and stroll here is my fourth year and that i are looking to retain doing it every year," she observed.
