Rotary club creates breast cancer cognizance with stroll - Guardian

To commemorate breast cancer cognizance month, Rotary membership of Lagos Island has equipped "Rotopink Walkathon", a walk against breast cancer to sensitise girls of the prevalence of breast melano ma at Banana Island, Lagos.

The recognition walk, which commenced at 7:00am, became led via the president of the membership, Vinod Garg. Rotarians from different clubs, together with a past District Governor, Dr. Kamaru Omotosho, and his spouse, Susan, as well as some children from Banana Island also participated in the stroll.

Addressing members before the walk, Dr. (Mrs.) Susan Omotosho, decried the incidence of breast cancer, which she described as very lethal. "Detection at an early stage can be treated efficaciously earlier than it receives worse," she said.
