Luncheon planned for breast cancer survivors, pals - Shreveport instances

Breast melanoma survivors from across North Louisiana will acquire together, along with family unit and friends on Saturday, July 23 at East Ridge nation membership to celebrate existence after breast melanoma.  Breast cancer survivor Nikia Hammonds Blakely of Frisco, Texas, can be the guest speaker for the Mad Hatter-themed event.

The adventure is hosted via Susan G. Komen North Louisiana and will begin at 10 a.m. with a silent auction, adopted by using a brunch.

"every 12 months our Survivor Brunch is a fine way for girls during this area to reconnect and celebrate the standard bond they share as breast melanoma survivors," pointed out Lindsay Dean, government director of Komen North Louisiana. "These ladies have not let this diagnosis stop them from residing existence to the fullest.  they're filled with grace and energy and are an idea to others.  Chairman Denise Tindall, a breast melanoma survivor herself, has finished an outstanding job with organizing this event.  The Mad Hatter theme might be a enjoyable twist to the day."

Having survived a life-altering bout with breast melanoma at age sixteen,  Hammonds-Blakely, now 37, is an writer, singer, songwriter and motivational speaker who focuses her message on receiving physical and emotional curative with the aid of God and household.

Tickets for the luncheon are $15 for breast melanoma survivors and $25 for guests and are still accessible online at komennorthlouisiana.org or on the door. All proceeds will advantage Komen North Louisiana.

Survivors can be honored again on Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Komen North Louisiana Race for the cure  Bossier metropolis on the CenturyLink middle.  Race registration is now open.
