Breast cancer focus brings Olympian, HS volleyball gamers together - WLWT Cincinnati

Silver medalist volleyball participant April Ross met with volleyball gamers from upper Arlington high college out of Columbus, Ohio to discuss with them about breast cancer recognition.

The avid gamers at higher Arlington raised $6,000 for breast melanoma attention this past season.

it be dear to April Ross' coronary heart as a result of she lost her mom in 2001. 

"Breast cancer has been whatever our group has at all times in fact rallied round," upper Arlington volleyball player Caroline Compton referred to. "a lot of households in our neighborhood were in my opinion affected by it. "

"We held a Dig purple experience in October and we did lots of distinct fundraising for it," spoke of UAHS volleyball player Madeleine McKenna. "We did raffles."

Ross has performed tons in terms or raising awareness for breast cancer this 12 months. but she says when she looks lower back on what the early life has been doing, it's astounding.

"It in fact, it motivates me out here too, to really give my all each time," Ross said. "since you certainly not know what is going on to ensue. How short existence can be."
