TUNKHANNOCK -- students and enthusiasts in Tunkhannock had been all decked out in purple Wednesday evening to aid a instructor and teach fighting breast melanoma.

Christine Swilley is an emotional aid para-expert at Evans Falls fundamental in Tunkhannock and a coach for the Tunkhannock Junior high field hockey team.

Christine is fighting stage 3 breast melanoma.

Swilley hasn't let chemo or radiation sluggish her down though. The coach hasn't ignored a single video game or follow considering the fact that her analysis in February.

"Some days i'd show up after chemo and that i would sit in my garden chair and my assistant would take control for the day. it be been difficult from time to time but it's been very beneficial to be with the women," commented Swilley.

At Wednesday's game, there become a balloon unlock in honor of Swilley.

enthusiasts raised around 12-hundred greenbacks for her cancer fight by way of promoting purple t-shirts and collecting donations.
